With one phone call, my whole life turned upside down. A whole new country, a new language to learn, new friends, everything. My entire life left behind, and for what? A special opportunity to train with some up and coming high school volleyball team. What was my coach thinking, was this really the right path with the youth Olympics only two years away? Little did I know, my new family was waiting for me on the other side of the world.
