They were born from the stars, but the world refuses to let them stay. It has been three years since the Genesis Flares, the solar phenomenon that gave birth to Astrans: beings with abilities beyond human comprehension. Some see them as miracles, others as abominations but to those in power, they are a threat that must be controlled, exploited, or eradicated. Fear spreads like wildfire, and war is inevitable. Among the displaced and the hunted, a survivor fights to carve out a future for her people, refusing to let them be erased from history. By her side stands the one who saved her, a sister in all but blood, a friend who has vowed to protect her, even if it means keeping dangerous secrets. As alliances fracture and loyalties are tested, they must navigate a world that has already decided what they are: enemies. In the heart of the conflict, two minds once dedicated to progress now wrestle with the weight of their own creations. One, a scientist bound by failing health, seeks to undo the greatest mistake of his life before time runs out. The other, an engineer thrust unwillingly into war, struggles between duty, regret, and the burden of being the only one left to fight. Lines blur between vengeance and justice, survival and sacrifice. The choices they make will determine not only the outcome of the war but the future of the Astrans themselves. Before the war, before the fear, they were all the same. They were all stardust once.

In the year 2541, four centuries have passed since humanity's grand interstellar migration project triumphed. Colonies now span across the stars, and centralized government is a relic of the past, replaced by a decentralized power structure where control rests in the hands of megacorporations within the Interstellar Alliance, with the Galaxy Corporation at the helm. But the golden age was fleeting. Under lax governance, chaos and corruption began to fester, dragging society into a quasi-medieval state. The ancient profession of bounty hunting rose from the ashes, taking over the role of law enforcement in this fractured era. Enter Karl Vega, a cynical and sharp-tongued bounty hunter, and his snarky AI companion, Oscar. During a mission to capture the infamous hacker Lia Solan, their ship is unexpectedly destroyed, leaving the duo stranded on a mysterious planet littered with the wreckage of other spacecraft. Forced to cooperate, the unlikely pair embarks on a perilous journey to scavenge parts and repair their ship, navigating the planet's countless dangers. Despite constant bickering, their synergy grows, and so does an unexpected bond. Recognizing each other's skills and the necessity of partnership in this cutthroat galaxy, they set aside their differences and form a team. Now, in a universe teeming with threats and opportunities, Karl and Lia take on the wild frontier as an unconventional duo, carving their path through danger, adventure, and the occasional spark of humor.
