This is a compilation of my thoughts on the various unacceptable things in society, including LGBTQ. The narrow mindedness of the society has frustrated me and I thought of a million things I'd like to just shout out. But no matter how intellectual my words may be, I'll still go unheard. Because I have no authority and people only believe in a voice with weight. Neither am I anyone special to give my opinion , nor do I have a higher status than common men... but I'm a citizen, and this is solely from a citizen to another citizen. No, vampires are not some sort of myth, and they most certainly are not, a figment of anyone's imagination. They are very real, and they despise the human race. In fact, they have enslaved my entire species and formed a new world. Each continent is owned by a ruthless, bloodsucking, barbaric, the vampire king. Every single one of them has played a part in the war of the awakening, showing no mercy, killing without question. Humans didn't even stand a chance. Our army and world leaders were killed or imprisoned in less than a couple of days. They slaughtered my race, but it didn't stop there. No, that was only the beginning of human suffering. Trust me when I say the death was truly a kindness, because anyone who survived the awakening, would beg for death. I was positive that my suffering would come to an end when I turned eighteen. I was hoping and praying to be marked as a feeder, nothing more, nothing less. Death was the only way out of this world. You see, all of the kings who ruled over the earth were cruel and calculating. They are all tyrants in their own right and they all answered to one vampire. Who was known as the most barbaric of them all and I was marked as his chosen. The King of all Vampire Kings. The Identity Crisis
I have forgotten what it feels like to be free. To have a voice. I can't say anything, or else they might catch me. My parents would never forgive me. I'll be arrested. Maybe even killed. Probably killed. We didn't open our eyes in time to see the train come barreling down the tracks. It crushed our freedom, burned our self-worth, and now we have to pay the price. All because we didn't see it coming. The American Constitution doesn't apply to us. All of the activists were silenced. And now it's all coming back to bite us. We'll just have to bite back harder. The Silent Melody
The world is loud. There are those who make no sound. Billions of people on the planet, some make no sound, some hear no sounds, and some don't see what's making the sound. Humans take their voice for granted, they don't realize what it's like not to be able to say what you're thinking. Humans don't realize what it's like not to be able to listen to the world. They don't realize what it's like not to be able to look at the stars and see the beauty in the sky. I can see, I can hear, but what I can't do is speak for myself. My own silence is deafening. *Pardon my word choice.* I've never been able to speak, as soon as I was able I was sent to learn ASL (American Sign Language). I was then sent to regular public school and I love it, the sounds of the students talking. Being able to be a regular person, well, as close to regular as I can be without talking. My name is Rosalyn, I've never breathed a word. Silence is easy when all you can give are ASL signs and not many people understand them. I'm just like everyone else. I have a celebrity crush. I have a favorite book (It's Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen). I have a favorite color (It's a silvery blue). I have a story to tell just like you. I get made fun of because I can't speak. People yell at me thinking that because I'm mute I'm also deaf. This is my silent melody, the song of my soul.Complete
Vampire's Pet
The world had gone to hell long ago, taken over by the vampire race. In order to keep some sort of peace in our land, the Vampire Lords made a consecutive agreement. The rich and powerful humans could survive just as they had been, untouched by the vampires save for the occasional blood collections, or so they thought In reality, we were all under their control. Castles spread out throughout our land, one landing in each city. Each castle varied in the number of vampires residing there, but all of them carried a Lord. The Lords were the ones in charge in every city, whether we liked it or not. The vampires often roam through the city, making sure that everyone was in order and no one stepped out of line. If you stepped out of line, you died, end of story. Even if the rich were still under their control, their lives were still better than the poor. The poorest lives held a much worse fate. The men were to be put to work as slaves, whether that meant serving a specific vampire, or just building their castles, they were slaves. The women were to be pets. Pets were the lowest rank you could have. They were forced into cages that were too small to stand in with collars around their necks. They spent their lives in pet shops, just waiting for the dreadful day that they'll be bought. They were treated like animals, trained into what their master wanted, and punished if they misbehaved. Those who were lucky enough to live through that, we're to be slaughtered for their blood at age twenty-five in an act to make sure that our population would stay steady. I was born into this world. Born into this world full of blood-sucking monsters. Except, I was one of the lucky ones. Was. It all ended for me when I was 12, when I was taken away from the last bit of hope and family that I had left. It's Who We Are
People around the world suffer for being born with a sex, for associating with a gender, for having darker skin, for having different beliefs, or for simply loving someone. Is there really nothing we can do other than being persecuted endlessly for who we are? None of us asked for being here, for having curly hair, for being born in the wrong body, for being raised with a different culture. And despite still living, we are mocked, put aside, looked down on, and spat at. Just for being different. Is this what the human race was put on Earth to do? To hate on its own kind? * For a school project I'm writing short stories about different minorities or discriminated people. Each story takes place somewhere in the U.S. even though hate is worldwide. The characters live their daily lives explaining how they make it through the day. I'm trying to show what feelings people have when out in certain situations and bring awareness to my surroundings about people not feeling good in their shoes. I try not to put the blame on certain people and I try to stay away from stereotypes. But of course it isn't always easy. I hope I won't be offending anyone, and if I am please excuse me and explain to me how I could change my texts to make them better.
