They didn't listen, and so the world burned.

The trees are gone, ash covers the ground, and the streets are empty. 2020 sucked until it really sucked. Social distancing? Not so much an issue.

Everyone is dead, gone.

I don't know what year it is, but it's hot as hell and I'm about three seconds from jumping into the Columbia River. What? My friends did it.

Not to be negative, but I fucking hate it here. On the bright side, I did steal some AirPods from Target. On the dark side, my phone won't charge.

At least I'll go out to a bitchin' soundtrack. God. It's the apocalypse for me.

Based on real events in my hometown, The Penny Eclipse shows the end. Fire consumes everything and the smoke kills just about everyone.

16-year-old Lana Dotson is enjoying her solitary life one day at a time. She hasn't seen a blue sky or the actual sun in months.

Or another person, until a mysterious girl named Robin shows up in her house.

She adapts in ways only gen z can and takes on the world. Or what's left of it.
