My heart pulls at me and I know. I understand its pain. Because I would have fallen in love with him if we were in another destination. If our stars would have aligned, then we would be in another story...

Arden's expression falls and he sadly whispers, "We're from very different worlds..."

I nod knowing that this is true. We both know this and we both know that we want to break that rule.

But some rules aren't meant to be broken. Hearts can. But rules don't break.

My heart shrinks at his sad smile. He puts a soft hand on my arm and for once, I don't panic. I let him be as he comes closer and gently puts a kiss on my forehead.

And just like....my world stops. My heart pounds in my chest and I watch him walk away with shoulders down. For him...I would never fight back my tears.
