                                              **********

Two best friends, Kiki Rubiri and Nicole Wanjiru, know just how much blurry and mundane life could get in the streets of Nairobi. But when gusts of wind quake their pitiful selves, in form of new opportunities and of course men, Kiki and Nicole wonder why the painter suddenly decided upon subdued tints?

                                          **********

Nicole could distinctively make out the intonations of her heartbeat. It was no smooth asphalt, nor was it pleasing. It was entirely the opposite. She imagined a rugged chassis and deep-rooted crevices upon a rocky road. A dangerous road trip. She feared that her heart might give out. Her legs already were a noodly pair, holding onto her dress for support.

It was clear that Nicole's mind was a soiled pool of water. It just wasn't functional anymore. Jane Austen would be disappointed, and so would her mother. Nicole was never the forward type of woman. She always thought of herself as demure as a sun's glow right before the full onset of night. Her wanton behavior today was a surprise on her side and she more than willingly blamed it on the cheery night and maybe on the way Wayne's minty breath hit her exposed clavicle like one inclement wind upon feeble branches of a tree.

A Romance - Thriller. •~• An accident brings Laura Taiwo to a coma. But she seems to remember a nightmare she's been having for a year. . . in a coma. Her nightmare not only shatters her whole world, but it brings her closer to the real one. Excerpt🎬: "You like what you see?" He crossed his arms over his chest, aligning his muscles and raising his ash polo shirt which gave her a great view of his Calvin Klein boxers. Being a chicken, she avoided his steamy gaze and gave an excuse to use the toilet. She ran into the master bedroom and she stared into the mirror. Her exacerbated reflection didn't deflect the daring gaze Jonathan had burned into her. "I thought people only ran when they were chased." He spoke from the door, his lean body relaxed on its frame. His voice teased her and pleased her. He moved closer before she could utter a lame excuse. He stopped less than a feet away from her, she cranked her neck to look boldly at him. She could feel his breath on her face but he didn't touch her still. So why could she feel him everywhere? *------------------------------------------------* Best Rankings on RTF: 26/08/2021: #3 Romamcereads2020 06/07/2021: #1 Africa 23/01/2021: #2 Amazon 22/02/2020: #1 Phoniexquill2019 03/05/2020: #1 Taa2019 #1 Projectnaija #5 Amazon #1 Assassin 20/05/2020: #5 BestBooksOnWattpad 14/06/2020: #1 Africabookclub #5 Hotline 16/08/2022 ~ 1/11/2022: #1 Proudnigerian Edited by ©IgweSharonstone ©IgweSharonstone.2019 Disclaimer: the picture in the cover photo doesn't belong to me in any way.

The Holiday Buddies (A Romantic Comedy)

35 parts Complete Mature

Half of me was fantasising about the idea of Joe just throwing me, caveman style, on that pool table and having his wicked way with me, while the other half was already realising how hard it could be to get over him if that did happen. Maybe the moments of anticipation are better than the follow-through. Maybe I need to protect myself and see this as just a flirtation and nothing more. And, yes, maybe I need to stop overthinking every bloody thing . . . ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When Sienna Norton decides to surprise her boyfriend, she's the one who ends up surprised - and heartbroken - when she discovers him with another woman. Her best friend Kate convinces her they should go on holiday abroad to help her move on . . . But once they reach the beautiful Greek island of Kefalonia, Sienna somehow ends up abandoned once again. Things start to look up, though, when she meets Joe, and they make an agreement to spend the rest of their holiday together. Joe is gorgeous, smart, and funny, and there's absolutely no denying there's chemistry between them - but Sienna hasn't expected to feel . . . *things* so soon, and Joe . . . well, there's definitely something he just isn't telling her. Will there be a chance for them to be *more* than just holiday buddies?
