Amethyst is a three year old Crystalwing who longs to be normal. She has social anxiety and a destiny she never wanted. When the tribe finds out, they chase her out. She will never be completely safe in her own tribe or even among her very own friends for a long time, and she has to build self confidence or her tribe might be lost.

The Vermilion coloured dragon nodded. "I am, dead, yes." His eyes widened as several dragons turned to glare at Amethyst. They were like little daggers being pressed onto her. She hated the stares.
"What did you say?!" Garnet screeched. His eyes were wide, and he looked mad,but his voice betrayed fear instead. "Tell me what you said!"
"I-I don't k-know!" Amethyst threw her wings over her head. The sight of the angry fighting teacher was terrifying, and she wondered what she'd done wrong. What's happening!? She wailed in her head. The eyes were so painful on her scales. Scales diamond hard.
"She said-" a nurse betrayed. " 'So you're dead, and I can see you?' " she said in a mean mimicking voice.

No one ever said what would happen when dragons and aliens meet. And no one told me that I would be in the middle of it. Tasha was studying hard to get through her last year of university when she was kidnapped. She certainly didn't expect to wake up with four feet and wings. Mad scientists are bad enough, but things get even more complicated when aliens appear and wipe out the human race. Is there a way for her to hide her true identity in this new world while retaining her humanity? --------------------- Sneak Peek: I jumped over the lip of the tray and beat down hard with my wings. I had expected to only slow my fall; I had not expected to end up gaining so much height. I squawked in surprise and spread my wings wide in alarm before gravity regained its hold on me. With several awkward back-winging motions of my wings, I landed lightly on the floor. Well, at least I know my wings work. I glanced at the man in the corner as he was scribbling quick notes. [Complete - under editing] (A fan's side story of Upon Wings of Change) *I thank Crystal Scherer for the wonderful book that inspired this run off story that takes place in the same universe! I dedicate this story as a gift to her and all her readers!* Aspen wasn't the only one to be kidnapped and turned into a dragonet, but she WAS the only one who had a something to hide, outside of their human intelligence. Armed with nothing but the wings on her back and the claws on her feet, Aspen did her best just to survive her new environment. But just as she was starting to get used to her surroundings and her newly acquired skills, the rug is pulled out from underneath her once again. Now with the looming threat of aliens, aliens, and more aliens, Aspen has even more piled onto her already overflowing plate. Sneak peak: It wasn't fair. And knowing that unfairness was just part of life, didn't make me feel any better. Life had dealt us a hand of rotting lemons and all I wanted to do was throw them and make life take them back.
