I met Draco's satisfied smile with one of veiled gratitude. "Thank you," I said sincerely.
"A pleasure," he purred. "Avyanna right?"
"Avy, usually," I shrugged, packing my notes and pulling out my potions book.
"Avy," he repeated softly as of testing the feel of it on his tongue. "I don't think we've ever truly spoken."
"I'm aware," I answered tartly.

I force myself to unlock the door and once it swings open, I spend no time watching the look of bafflement on his face.
