He grabbed my arm at the last second and pulled me back, pressing my body tightly against his. "You like living on the edge, don't you?" He asked with a teasing smile, he was so close I could feel his breath on my mouth. "Only when I know you're there to catch me if I fall," I smiled back at him, biting my lip. His hands held me tight by the waist and mine was lost in his hair. In that kiss was the sweetness of passion, a million loving thoughts condensed into one moment. The hint of a promise.
