Where an orphan, Rowan Angelo, a fourteen year old girl with a troubled past, finds herself stuck in Woodbury. She finally finds an opportunity to leave, but it wasn't as simple as she had expected. She leaves on her journey with another woman, who had also previously been in Woodbury. They soon are lead to a prison after witnessing a young couple get kidnapped, delivering the baby formula the couple had left behind. They find a group of survivors and become part of their journey through the apocalypse.
