Lyra Black never had a parental figure. Not since she was one anyway. She was raised at Grimmauld Place by Kreature and her Grandmother's portrait. She grew up to be a respectable young lady, though she never shared her grandmother's views. Two years ago she was sorted into Ravenclaw, and despite it not being Slytherin, her grandmother was proud of her. Now her father has escaped from Azkaban and she has no idea of his innocence.

Lyra Black is the daughter of Sirius Black. She's been through a lot throughout her seventeen years of life. As soon as she turned seventeen, she ran away from her old life and went straight to the States. She hoped to have a new life, away from all things to do with the Wizarding World, other than her magic and money of course. The Dark Lord is rising in ranks, meaning more and more people are dying or becoming Death Eaters. Being a pure blood Slytherin meant Lyra was one of the main people chosen to be a Death Eater. Lyra refused to be on the dark side, but at the same time, she refused to work under Dumbledore. Dumbledore was a joke, and she seen straight through his lies. When Lyra went to the States, she kept in contact with her uncle, Remus Lupin, and his wife, Nymphadora Tonks. Lyra loved Lupin and Tonks more than anything, so it hurt for her to leave them behind, but she had to get away to stay alive and protect everyone she loved. She had lost almost everyone, and she refused to be the reason she lost anyone else. Moving to Forks, Washington was a huge change. She didn't know what to expect when she moved there, but she really didn't expect to find shapeshifters and vampires close to where she lived. She was different as well, but she believed she was alone. She didn't expect to find someone to love, nor did she expect for things to fall apart around her more than they already had. Elara Black was ripped away from her father when the Aurors came to arrest him for what he had done. She was pushed off to the side, barely old enough, but she remembered that Dumbledore couldn't even convince them to give him a trial, he wouldn't. Her image of her father was untainted by the rumours and assumptions everyone made. But, he was gone now, and she was left at an orphanage. Left to her own defenses. And so she learned. She read, and absorbed information and practiced her magic, before she even got to Hogwarts.
