Every god you can name left earth and chose a family to represent them, also bestowing them with powers. But those powers are a curse, especially on those wishing for less.

Libitina isn't most girls; her very touch is death, and she trains day and night to win the tournament. She longs for a mother's hug or a first date, but, even though she's only seventeen, sometimes she feels like the weight of the world rests on her.

So, when she meets a special someone, her life changes. Everything she knows? Gone in a cloud of smoke. Because a lie has been found, and she plans on killing the one who caused her that pain.
