Third marshal Eomer watched the crippling of his beloved uncle and king. Was forced into banishment and ultimately left his sister in the hands of the Kings hated advisor. He returns triumphant to his Kings side. The true battle has yet to begin for Rohan. Many leagues away in a castle by the sea a young woman steals away in the middle of the night. Her destination is Minas tirath were her services will be needed in the grave time gondor faces. Can a simple marshal overcome such hopelessness and become a king? Can a noble lady go against all conventions for her class and help in the war efforts? Can either heal the scars on the others souls? Time can only tell. . . (M for blood gore and sexual content in later chapters)
