Yes, this is meant to be cringe. No I don't mean to make fun of any serious topic in this story. "Once upon a time-" "No, that doesn't sound good at all, okay again." "Hi, I'm-" "No! Only an idiot starts like that! Try something good now, okay?!" "Okay." Violet clears her throat. "This is a story about a girl. A normal girl, well, she was trying to be normal. But the story behind her smile is tear-pulling". "That was okay, good job." Dad walks away.' Why did he yell at me?' Violet thoughts are silent for a few seconds.' Maybe he's just stressed'. The answer to her own question was not true, but she didn't want to admit that it wasn't the stress that made dad so flammable...

"Why do you let people bully you? It's like you're just a pushover!" My dad grabbed me by my hair and forcefully pinned me against the wall.
