Hayley never got her werewolf side bound and she managed to escape Greta and the old vampire's followers, which resulted in her ending up in the eastern woodlands of Massachusetts, New England. Here she meets a group of teenagers in the town of New Salem, Massachusetts. But these teenagers aren't normal and neither is another newcomer whose also a teenager. Someone from New Orleans ends up in the Massachusetts town as well searching for her.
