This is not to defend the girlfriend for being mean at his bestfriend all the time. This is about to let you know her side, the reason why she is being mean, what triggers her to be mean at her. This is to let you know that she is also a fragile girl and gets hurt too.
Like most of the girls, she also believed in her boyfriend promises and stayed even if most of them were completely broken. she is also seeking fir his boyfriend's attention.
