Lux is a shy, emotionally reserved, and independent seventeen-year-old girl who has just moved to the small town of Fernie and gravitates to Mars, a reticent and mysterious bad-boy who brings out something in her. Lux tries to convince herself he isn't the right guy, but the truth is; she is just scared to let another person into her life and get hurt. As they a begin an intense and thrilling love affair, Lux must learn to trust again and overcome trauma, a complicated family dynamic, and an internal struggle with who she is and moving forward to heal.
