Solely based on the fact that they were twins from a pureblood and a muggleborn. So you can imagine what happened when they let out the news that they were twins. But unfortunately, The Dark Lord tried to kill them. Failing, as their mother jumped in front of them protecting them. The death spell hit her and was split two ways.
