WARNING THIS IS THE SECOND BOOK IN THE SERIES PLEASE GO READ THE FIRST BOOK IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY:

It's been a year since Remus and Deceit have turned themselves in to the police, ending their reign of terror over the city and Virgil.

Since than Virgil has gained the life he's always wanted. He lives with his best friends and his boyfriends and is going to college. And though the others haven't given up hero work his life of crime is over and the name 'Shadow Master' is rarely ever spoken of anymore.

He and the others are happy and healthy. Patton is one year away from becoming a teacher, soon all he'll have to do is his in-person training and he'll have his dream job. Logan has gained several new students who he helps to tutor. And Roman is not only close to a promotion at work but has been in several plays these past few months. But of course, we all know that happiness doesn't last forever.

The others begin to feel like they're being watched. Trouble arrives at their doorstep and right when they think they're rid of it again something else happens. People are after them, they want all four of them but the reason they want Virgil is different than why they want Patton, Logan, and Roman. People long forgotten and forgiven have pushed themselves back into their lives. But they have to ask themselves; Are the people who found them, the people they say they are?

♥ C O M P L E T E D ♥ * Written long, long before Deceit's name reveal! Please bear with me. I would love to change each of the names but there are simply too many chapters and I have written too many books, and I already need to change the name in nearly finished drafts of mine since they'll be published later than the reveal. ⚠️ WARNING: Contains EXTREMELY dark themes such as death, self harm, suicide, violence, toxic relationships, etc. Stay safe! ⚠️ NOTE: Don't read the bonus chapters before finishing the actual story there are spOILERS Imagine reading a book of every conversation where people have spoken about you. You see, everyone in the mind has a special item. Logan has special glasses that can let him see through walls. Roman has a sword with engravings of roses that allow him to sense any danger near him. Patton has a heart pin that he can tap and he can become invisible. But Virgil? He has the worst item. It's a book. A book filled with every single conversation anyone's had about him. Nobody knows about his item, because he hides in in fear of that, if anyone finds out what it does, they'll fake everything they say about him and begin to avoid him completely. The book is filled with things he'd rather not read, but he can't help himself from rereading and rereading and rereading, as the book gets thicker and thicker. ♥ Highest Ranks ♥ #1 in Prinxiety #1 in Logicality #1 in Thomassanders #129 in Fanfiction

The Academy of S.I.D.E.

55 parts Complete

Virgil's always stayed in the shadows... literally. He was born with the ability to control them. He's mostly used it to make shadow creations when he's bored, or talk with his own shadow---who's pretty much his only friend. He doesn't know where the hell his powers come from, but he's not interested in finding out. All he's interested in is trying to get through sophomore year without a) failing, or b) embarrassing himself in front of cute guys. That is, until some British kid in a beanie---who can apparently shapeshift---shows up and tells Virgil that he's one of many people in the world with powers. And there's a place for teens to learn how to control them... and how to be spies. Soon, Virgil's navigating a new group of friends, crazy teachers, hidden biases, and an irritatingly dramatic (and adorable) roommate. High school's already hard enough without learning how to be a spy-slash-superhero, but hopefully, with enough luck, lack of will to live, and advice, Virgil will be able to make it through. Welcome to the Academy of Supernatural Investigation and Defense Education---otherwise known as the Academy of S.I.D.E.
