Valerie Nicks has always been told to 'raise your head up', 'speak up', 'look me in the eye' and 'don't cry'.

She is labeled as an anti-social psycho crybaby who spends more time crying than anyone else.

She suffered emotional trauma while growing up which destroys her psychologically and emotionally.

Then everything changed when she met Wyatt Pullman. Having suffered enough she blocks him out of her life and denies the ever growing feelings.

Wyatt sets out to heal her, to seal the wounds. He teaches her what it means to love again, what it means to trust again.

And in in doing so they but realized what it meant to fall deeply, madly and irrevocably in love.
