After watching her parents die before her eyes, 17 year old Tris Prior and her brother Caleb Prior have been in and out of foster homes. Recently they have been changed into a new one.
In this new foster home, Tris gets beat every day from her new foster father, making her life even more unbearable than it already was.
Until one day, Tris's life changes forever, she mysteriously changes into a wolf, making her a werewolf. Not only that, she has supernatural powers not even her wolf can explain.
Later then, her wolf confesses that the hottest guy at school is her mate.
Between becoming alpha, recruiting pack members, shape shifters, and an abusive foster dad, how will Four and Tris do it?

"Y-you I -uh -eh." He says, fear laced in his voice and facial expression. I shift back, thankful that my clothes are still on, just a bit ripped.
"There's a difference between what I am and what I show." I then walk away, leaving him stranded speechless in the middle of the woods.

Prologue Heather was 8 when she was forceably removed from her home. Making her pretty much homeless. She doesn't have many friends, she is very smart and was at the top of her class for an 8 year old. It was a big deal. At the age of 12, her 18 year old foster brother raped her while her foster parents sat drunk in the living room. Following that, Heather ranaway. While she ran, she came across a pack of wolves. She ran dropping everything. She tripped over a branch and curled into a ball. She could hear footsteps approaching as she coward beside the tree. The man came into view and she backed up. "Hey, everything's all right." He offered his hand. "Come on. It'll be raining soon." He carried her to a house and treated my cuts. Keeping her distance from everyone she listened as the woman talked. "How old are you honey?" The woman asked. She didn't answer. She just looked out the window. "Where are you're parents?" No response came from her. "Can I leave now?" "There has to be a reason on why you would run away. You're staying here. James, call the police." "No, they'll make me go back." "You have to go back." She was sent back and 3 years later, the same thing happened and she couldn't leave. Sequel to Alpha or Beta(Can be read without reading first book): Nine years have passed and Evelyn is now the narrator: I'm the only one. Ralf was the first of us to shift. He said it hurt at first, but now the feeling of going back and forth between werewolf and human is amazing. Rosie said she can feel the change coming soon. The rest of them are changing as well. Then there's me. I'm the only one who can't shift. I reach up and grab the white strands of hair that curse my body. My ability to shift into a wolf has been ripped from me and soon everyone will know that I'm different. That scares me. Yeah, like that's going to happen, we haven't seen her since she took it from me. Well it's my junior year of school and I won't be able to find my mate because I don't have my inner wolf. I see the guy turn towards me and duck behind the house I am standing by before he sees me. Nope! Not him! Not happening! I hear footsteps coming towards me and run. Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!" I respond. "Denial." She says. "Refusal." I counter and she growls at me. "You will NOT reject him!" She orders. "He is a bully!" "He is mate!" "He commanded that kid when he could have just talked to him! He is a bully with no patience!" "He is an Alpha!" She purrs with pride at his rank. I don't care! "I don't want him!"
