Nalu (Natsu x Lucy) All characters rights go to Hiro Mashima But the story is mine -------------- Natsu Dragneel, one of the best 7 assassins nicknamed "Salamander", was given a mission by his brother to kidnap the only daughter of a noble who had been selling items illegally to terrorists in secret. It's Natsu's job to target their only daughter, but what if things don't go as expected? What if he is left wounded on his mission, and is saved by the same person that he had been ordered to kill? What would he do then? "Maybe you were the intruder.." Lucy said, placing the blood-soaked bandages on the dresser next to her bed. "But you were wounded, I couldn't just leave you there to die. And if I did, I'd be no better then a murderer." She finally finished, looking at the man laying in her bed with stubbornness in her eyes as he stared at her, disbelief in his. "Really.." He huffed He dropped his head back on the strangely soft pillow in defeat. "..." "...Natsu" He said finally "..what?" Lucy asked, clearly confused. "You asked for my name right? It's Natsu." Her eyes widened, but then softened as she smiled. "My name's Lucy" she replied, grinning, which only made him stare at her. He sighed "Y'know, with an attitude like that, you'll get yourself killed in no time at all." He stated, which made Lucy smile once more, closing her eyes. "If I died, I would have no regrets because I died doing what I believed was right." "Pfft" Natsu snorted, and she twisted her head at him in confusion, and clearly annoyed. "What?" "You're personality is unique, But you're way to stupid" Natsu concluded. But Lucy just smirked in response. "Get use to it, pinky"

"Lucy." His breath exhales on the top of my head. I hold him tighter, not wanting to let go, to face the truth. Natsu didn't love me, I am and always will be his best friend, nothing more. "Lucy, you're killing me." He tries lightening the mood. I didn't loosen my grip. I feel the tears prick my eyes, Natsu Dragneel didn't love me. His hand ran up and down my bare back, my skin tingles at his touch. I long for him. I breathe in a ragged breath. "Lucy, don't cry." He whispers, "I'm here." His lips met the top of my head, and my heart skips a beat. "Lucy? Lucy look at me." I didn't look though; I'm too busy clarifying with my fantasies what he just did. His thumb presses under my chin and his index finger bends against it. He lifts my head up slightly and my eyes met his beautiful onyxes. "Lucy..." His voice trails off. It is true, I truly love Natsu Dragneel and I always have. It's sad to say I just realized it. But does he feel the same? ... Lucy and Natsu have been best friends since like forever. No romantic feelings, no crushing, no anything. But when Natsu's relationship gets bad with his current girlfriend, Lucy slightly gets jealous (to put it mild), she suddenly realizes her feelings for the salmon haired boy. And it doesn't help her contain her feelings when she sees him every day, it's not exactly helping Natsu's love life either.
