Three days after her fifteenth birthday, Mistletoe Crimson is chosen to participate in The Trials, a game of survival in the wilderness for three weeks. But there is one problem: there will be others, between the ages of thirteen and seventeen. There's one more problem though: there are weapons. Anybody alive after three weeks is allowed to go home. Anybody else dies.
