Scorpius Malfoy boards the Hogwarts Express for the first time with more apprehension than excitement. He knows what his mother and grandparents and father expect, that he too will join a long line of Slytherin students. But Scorpius has never fully fit in with the rest of his family. When Scorpius is sorted into Gryffindor house, he makes a number of unlikely friends and learns just how far he is willing to go to protect them.
