My brother Ariza Aski left Karasuno High School 4 years ago, I dont see my brother anymore because he is away at college after receiving a sports scholarship due to his Volleyball skills. I took after my brother with vollyball and hoping to join the team. but little did I know my cousin Yamaguchi Tadashi goes here along with his salty friend. So I wonder how this is going to turn out when I'm placed on the boys volly all team. That's where I met Koshi Sugawara. 

After losing a game, and with my father threatening to pull me out of school and out of the Volleyball club, i start to lose hope that I'll get to nationals, like my brother wanted to do. Sugawara shows me that I mustn't give up and that the crows will fly again.
