"Run" Annabelle screamed , I could hear her breaths from behind me , she was slowing down and stumbling more , I don't know how much longer it'll take before she can't go on. Thinking this caused a pain deep inside my chest but I couldn't lie to myself , she was still healing from the birth and being chased was worsening whatever pain she felt , I knew very soon we'd have to stop .
"Don't turn around Alex, keep running , keep him safe , don't think of me just keep going , I love you so much and I thank the Stars that I got to experience our love" I heard this from behind me and I knew , I knew this was our end because despite her warning I couldn't let her go , I couldn't let her die this way .
I hid the baby with my magic and turned around to help my wife fight off my sister. I never thought it would come to this , never thought I'd have to fight my own blood but for the sake of my child I will fight until I lose all breath and blood in me. I would stand by my wife and protect my family.

In the world of Cantrick there were four species :
The Jin (Humans)
The Amaris (Werewolves)
The Ascians (Vampires)
And lastly The Mortala (Witches)
No conflict existed between these species , they were not friends nor were they enemies, they each kept to their own . However there were a few bad apples within the basket . The most powerful of all was Chesire, a witch who is said to have had handed her heart to devil in return for immense power. She rampaged through the land in search of power, and to squash all those who thought to rise against her . Village to village she went killing and usurping power until a priestess foretold a prophecy to her , of a young boy from her blood who would one day rise to conquer her and free the world of her evil .
I'm not really good at descriptions so please give this book a try and read it to find out more , it just might surprise you :).

'watch out humans, there's a Reaper in town. try not to die!' ---- prologue "Mitch we have to leave!" Annabelle yelped, holding a baby girl with black hair and blue eyes in her arms. "leave! go somewhere safe!" Mitch said, pulling a knife out of his leg. they were fleeing from the townspeople who had lit their house on fire screaming; "be gone evil demons!" all the couple wanted was to be able to live like normal humans, but atlass that was impossible. Reapers keep taking lives, and Humans continue feering them. and so, the couple grabbed their baby girl; Staffie. their hellhound; Unicorn and grabbed their death scythe's. -one year later- they arrived in a human city where some friends lived. "Mitch, what are we going to do now?" He suddenly calms down when the screams in the cell next to us switch to the sound of bones breaking. Now he sits with foam on his lips and his eyes wide, looking that way. After ten minutes, the sounds of the boys in our cell have died down, and we all look at the wall that separates us from the crackling of the breaking bones. And then suddenly all is quiet. After a few silent minutes, our cell door opens slowly. From the ball of light from the ceiling, the little girl in the doorway is illuminated. She is completely covered in blood and doesn't move. Then she opens her eyes and carefully walks towards us. And despite everything, my first impulse is to crawl backwards, away from the unnatural calm radiating from her. ------------- After reading yet another great older brothers/younger sister story, where the family gets reunited after years of separation, the sister keeps the secret that she was abused and assaulted all along, and the brothers conceal their work in the mafia, I decided to give it also a try. The output of my story was initially to turn this around with openness and unconditional support and the torture should happen right in front of their very eyes. Because no story is complete without the (un)necessary bloodshed, action, humour and, of course, a bad guy. And who knows, to throw everything completely upside down, the main character may not survive. I won't write warnings above each chapter, because most of them contain violence, blood, torture, etc. Constructive criticism is welcome. Ow, and English is not my first, second or third language.
