Seventeen year old Ozias Jacobson is the son of retired drug pins Issac and Naomi Jacobson. His father has did everything to keep him away from the streets and in the books. Putting him in the best private schools, making sure he's taking his basketball career seriously and trying to keep his wife and his past away from Ozias.

When Ruby Sadies a wild girl with player and thuggish ways mother wins the lottery she's moved on the better side of the city and placed into a good school like her moms always wanted for her. But she's not welcomed with open arms. Ozias and his friends torment and bully her until Issac finds out. To make up for his sons foolish behavior they decide to pay for Ruby's tuition and help her in any way she needs.

But bad old habits seem to resurface when Ruby starts to get Ozias roped into the streets. After a party Ozias offends an ex boyfriend of Ruby who happens to be known in the streets and knows everything about Ozias's parents past. He's so filled with betrayal and the fact that things were kept from him that he takes a step deeper into the streets and starts selling and getting roped into that type of life.

And he has to prove he's EXACTLY like his parents.

She knows that her loyalty and love to Ozias isn't what's best for her but no matter who their with or where they go or what happens they always find their way back to eachother. 

She's made promises to him and her word is bond and in the end she might have to break it to pick what's best for her.
