She backed up, then let out a dry laugh.
"You pretend to be bold, but deep down, you're scared. " She chuckled. "I can see through your facade. I know your scheme....Perfectionism. What a way to tackle your fears."
"You don't know anything about me!"
"You know i'ts true. Think about it." She said , wearing a wry smile.
"I'm not pretending to be anything. Stop acting like you know me and leave me alone!" I screamed and walked away, as fast as my legs could carry me.
She was right.
I hated that she was right.

Jasmine Okafor, who was also referred to as the star girl of Emerald high School, had everything an average Nigerian teenager girl could wish for. Was it beauty?, or brains?, fame, wealth, a hot boyfriend? Just name it, she had it.
On the outside, she was a total package.

Each time he bullied someone, beat up someone, insulted a teacher, maybe broke some lab items, skipped school which always made him end up in Principal Michaels office. The 45-year old man would just stare at him through the rim of his glasses and sigh heavily before letting him off. Adele-Akinniyi Luke was one of the best student in Preston International College but yet was one student every teacher wanted to get rid off. One way to describe Luke.... He was an.. "What is your name? " he enquired with a staid expression. Obi's eyes roamed around still trying to ascertain the safety of their current surrounding. Her lips were still quivering out of shock and her breathing distorted. "Obiukwu" She finally let out still battling with unsteady breathing. He adjusted the cuff of his pristine white shirt and helped her up. "For a girl with a boy's name you certainly do not think like one. Usually when a female dog comes after you, you don't run towards her young puppies, you run far away from them". She adjusted her pleated skirts which had been torn while she ran frantically from the enraged beast. This boy's words were rather insulting but she swallowed any form of insult that would have ensued especially from his reminder of the stereotype that had been carved out from her name . A simple act of gratitude, for he had been her savior. Was he not a dunce for thinking that way?. She knew a lot of moronic boys and her cousin Chukwudi was the ideal example. The dog had run at the sound of his command. She walked away from him slowly hoping to see Sandra somewhere close. "Hey! You owe me a thank you and something else". She ignored him and kept walking.She hated dogs and arrogant rich boys! "My name is Obiefune!" Obiukwu stopped for a brief moment and yelled back at him "thank you! ". The people we like never like us back. They either like someone and that someone else ends up liking you or that usual crazy line. One sided love is something nobody wishes for, everybody wants the people we love to us back and however for everybody, that's not the case. For Adewole-Adedeji Abimbola, hers was the complete opposite. She had liked Paul for a long time;since their preschool days and the latter barely acknowledged her. He hated her being around him and being around him was something Bimbo enjoyed. Until Paul asked her best friend to be his girlfriend and despite the both knowing her feelings, they both went ahead to date each other and so Bimbo lost three things. She lost her dream guy, she lost her best friend and she also lost her heart. She was too heartbroken and became cold and distant to everyone. Her character took on a new phase as she shut everyone out. She focused on her books and topped the class leaving both her best friend and Paul running after her. With her new cold and indifferent attitude, she barely noticed a particular someone who had eyes on her since forever. But she never noticed him. Meet Adeleke Jeremiah, Boston International College, social prefect. Tall, lean and he had an amazing athletic build. He played football too and the whole female population had eyes on him but Jeremiah enjoyed being low profile. What on earth that attracted him to his one year junior;he couldn't decipher it at all. He even went ahead to stalk her on IG and someone he was on her contact list yet they never spoke. When Jeremiah is assigned to her class as her Prep Captain, sparks finally fly.
