Years ago a ship crash landed into the world of Etheria, the only two beings on the ship survived. Two defective clones of Horde Prime. The brothers agreed to take over the planet in the name of the Horde. One brother gathered followers and began an open conflict with the kingdoms of Etheria. The other, hid in the shadows accumulating influence and power until he was able to stage a religious coup in the kingdom of Brightmoon. But by this point the brothers were fighting each other. One of them had crafted his own name. Hordak. And Hordak had lost his faith in the intergalactic Horde. His brother viewed him as a traitor and a heretic. Their war engulfs all of Etheria.

Sage Is a force captain where he has been born into the horde similarly to Adora, together, Catra, Adora and Sage have been living together ever since, Sage acting like the big brother, always looking out for them whenever he can, even if he were only a year older. However he's not exactly the same as everyone else, where others are human-like. He comes from an unknown land where even he doesn't know, his appearance is nearly dragon-like and yet far from it at the same time. Almost as if it's a mix of different breeds of animals.
