We all know the "Best Friend" character. The supportive, spunky, girl-next-door type who grounds our hero. 
This is a story from her perspective. 
Bellona is a young student at Cameron View High School, somewhere in the Eastern USA. She "isn't like other girls", and rather than try to place herself in a clique, she hangs out with her best friend, Jane. Bellona was adopted at age seven. Her main concern is that she doesn't know why whenever she gets distracted, she tends to float above the ground. She tries her best to hide it, and manages fairly well. 
Jane is a short, spunky, smart girl. Her parents are getting a divorce, and she seems to be the only person in her world to see the fact that her best friend, Ellie, seems to be going through something. Jane doesn't know what pressure she seems to be under, but she wants to do whatever she can to help.All Rights Reserved

Meanwhile, Vinicus Cauldwell enjoys the power he has as Murkbourne's most feared super-villain. For once, he can sit back and relax without being pestered by the police. That is, until Max arrives. Vinicus isn't happy about having to fight a child, but he can't let Max find out. After all, super-villains can't be "good people"... Can they? We can't all be born heroes.
