We all know the "Best Friend" character. The supportive, spunky, girl-next-door type who grounds our hero.
This is a story from her perspective.
Bellona is a young student at Cameron View High School, somewhere in the Eastern USA. She "isn't like other girls", and rather than try to place herself in a clique, she hangs out with her best friend, Jane. Bellona was adopted at age seven. Her main concern is that she doesn't know why whenever she gets distracted, she tends to float above the ground. She tries her best to hide it, and manages fairly well.
Jane is a short, spunky, smart girl. Her parents are getting a divorce, and she seems to be the only person in her world to see the fact that her best friend, Ellie, seems to be going through something. Jane doesn't know what pressure she seems to be under, but she wants to do whatever she can to help.

During yet another month of locking herself up in her room, she found someone who was different, a light through the darkness that was her life, an angel, to save her tortured soul from damnation. At least, that's how she might phrase it. ---------------------------- The title was chosen years ago, so I decided to leave it be and combine these two stories. This will be a moderate length mini story for the two couples, exploring their journeys which happen at completely separate times. These are the untold stories of our side characters from my other book's shared universe, but reading those two books are not exactly necessary to enjoy this one.
