Tyler was the first one to ever enter the glade, she was put there first which meant she was the one who had spent a month alone. She had a great bond with all the boys, especially Alby, Newt, Minho, Ben and Nick. Others she was really close with too, though.
Many had flirted with her and she even flirted back but most ended up with a broken jaw if they tried to kiss her. She bro-zoned a lot of them.
She's a runner, she's fast, she strong, she's tough, she's sarcastic, she's blunt. What's not to like?

Teresa is the first girl to arrive in the Glade? False. The first girl in the Glade was in fact Mia, she arrived over a year before Thomas and Teresa. The reason no one talks about her, they all think she is dead. Mia arrived in the box, same as everyone else but here's the catch, she doesn't talk. Not can't, doesn't. After a few months in the Glade Mia is sick of it, she runs off into the Maze at sundown. The Gladers assume she is dead when they don't hear from her for a week.
