Torch of Light (Golden Trio Era)

Alyona Romanov-Abramovich was a poor child born into the unforgiving Soviet Union. After poverty forced her family to abandon her to an orphanage when she was young, she was fortunately adopted by a rich oligarch family. When the USSR falls when Alyona is only 8 years old, her family flees to England to escape retribution, and begs Headmaster Dumbledore to accept Alyona early, believing Hogwarts to be the safest place for the young girl. Her intelligence and situation persuade the Headmaster, but when Alyona arrives at Hogwarts in 1991, the same year as the Golden trio, the castle walls seem strangely familiar to a girl who has never set foot in England. Flashbacks of a dark castle and an even darker young boy combined with trying to survive living as Harry Potter's best friend might endanger Alyona more than her family ever imagined.
