"I have a choice in this matter. And I choose to save you - no matter what."

**THIS BOOK IS NUMBER 3 IN MY STAR WARS SERIES, "Sting of Time," SO IF YOU HAVEN'T READ "Memories" OR "Dreams," THIS BOOK WILL NOT MAKE MUCH SENSE!!** Thanks. :)

The world is crumbling, taking Anakin Skywalker with it. His nightmares of the death of his wife, Padmé Amidala, continue to plague his night, and he is growing increasingly desperate to stop them.
Having been expelled from the Jedi Order and with Obi-Wan Kenobi nowhere to be seen, Anakin is falling deeper into a seemingly-bottomless pit of fear and loss. As he works to solve the mystery and clear his name, what choice will he make to save Padmé? Will it be the "right" one? What even is the "right choice?"
___

As stated above, this is book 3 in my series, "Sting of Time," being the sequel to "Dreams," which is the sequel to "Memories." You can probably get away without reading either of the first two, but this book will make much more sense if you've at least read "Dreams." :)

This is a Star Wars fanfiction that is not canon - at all - and will likely be filled with lots of angst and a bunch of both desperate and sweet romance. Enjoy! ^-^

Healing Hurts (Anakin Skywalker) by CamelotRose
17 parts Ongoing
Two souls connected before they ever met. Two souls separated, residing in separate universes, destined to meet and heal together. Anakin Skywalker never knew why he always saw a strange girl in his dreams - one he couldn't interact with. He was only a spectator in these dreams, forced to watch as the girl grew up as he did. He was good at watching. He watched as she slowly turned from a happy, active, passionate girl to a quiet and reserved woman. He watched as her cheeks turned pale, and then flushed with a redness that never seemed to disappear. He watched as the light slowly left her eyes, and she slept her days away with a never-ending fatigue that seemed to consume her. And he watched as she cried herself to sleep from the pain. He couldn't do it - he couldn't just watch anymore. He had to take action, the sooner the better. Something was wrong with the girl and he wasn't going to stand on the sidelines as a mere observer anymore. He would save Havena Jinn if it was the last thing he did. (a/n: T/W - Mentions of Covid-19 pandemic, long covid, and resulting chronic illness. The OC/reader is chronically ill in this story. I have been dealing with my own chronic illness and will be writing based off of those experiences, thoughts, and frustrations. I'm still learning to cope with everything, and I know how much it means to me to have my struggles be seen in media. I'm writing this with the hopes that, if any of you are also experiencing something similar, perhaps this could help you to realize you are not alone.)

"A moment passed as the Dark side, always present but always in a slumber, awakened inside of me and every question was answered. Where the abyss had been mere moments ago, steady ground now revealed itself, erasing every particle of the paralysing fear. And on the ground a path now lay, waiting for me to thread. There was no guilt, no shame, no limits. Because this was my lot in life, this was the moment everything I had ever done had been leading me to. Avenging my mom, eliminating Dooku, being with Padmé. I had mistakenly carried the burden of shame for my actions and now, seeing clearly for the first time, I could finally see that what I had done was right. Never again would I suffer from guilt that was falsely placed on my shoulders, never again would I act in vain. When I drew another breath I could feel the path unfold in front of me, inside of me, and it was clear, certain. Power surged through my veins, unrestrained at last, spurred on by the hint of darkness slowly rising." -------------------- The events of Revenge of The Sith told from Anakin's perspective. Combining the original storyline with deleted scenes and a few non-canon bits (they do not alter the canon version, simply add to it). I do not claim to be an expert of Anakin as a character. I have written a Revenge of the Sith from Padmé's perspective, feel free to check that out! Feedback is more than welcome :)
