(Entry for @sciencefiction contest) It has been 20,500 years since we left. It was coming. So we prepared. The space cruiser departed Earth in search of a new hope, a new planet. Of course we failed. Countless worlds were surveyed, but not one could hold human life. So, now we are back. We are home. But this is not the planet we left.

It's been exactly a hundred years since a nuclear explosion destroyed the entire earth, making it unable to live on it as the radiation would spread and rise quickly, becoming deadly minute by minute, killing half the lives on earth. Some of us got to survive with the help of the government which built an entire city that would protect everyone from the virus that appeared right after the radiation went away. The city was like a fortress, no one could enter and no one could leave...except the people executed who defied the government rules. But who thought that...together they might witness the end of their world?

A hundred years in the future, as mankind has begun the process of colonizing various planets and moons of our solar system in search of resources, four astronauts embark on a mission to land on a strange, previously undiscovered Exoplanet on the far outskirts of our galaxy. They quickly learn that there are horrific aspects of the mission they were not told of. I will also be posting this on my Royal Road account. Link can be found in profile.

It's been nearly 10,000 years since a bender was born but now for some reason they're returning and the Toro Corporation are eager to round them up before they get out of control. The question remains, where did the benders go in the first place and why are they returning? But most importantly of all, where is the Avatar?
