Each of them find their own love story in the middle of the most confusing times of their lives, but perhaps most important of all, they discover talents and strengths that that they didn't know they possessed.

Life is as intense as you want it to be. People in it will bring either tremendous joy or an unbearable pain. She could heal in revenge, hell being her home. But healing through words is the only way of keeping her sanity. Covering the shades of black and white with a thin gray line has never helped anyone before, but painting all those hurtful moments in colors had made the world a better place to live in: resentments under a rug of a smile. Just like a [kodachrome], colorful and vivid in an era filled with sadness. Poetry, short stories, and thoughts. *Mostly fictional with some bases on past, real situations. They've known each other since they were eleven, inseparable best friends for as long as they can remember, but long distance and spotty behavior causes them to lose touch after graduation. When Maddie and Harry run into each other again ten years later, what happens when feelings that were pushed away begin to resurface? EXCERPT: "How about this..." He suddenly gets an idea, a bold one, but he can't help but share it. "If neither of us are married by thirty, let's get married." Obviously, she'll be married by thirty. She's perfect, and any man who's as dense as a rock could see it. Surely, someone will sweep her off her feet and put a ring on her finger in the next twelve years, it's inevitable with the type of person she is. Deep down he wants it to be him, but he wouldn't dare make a move that could ruin the strongest friendship he's had his entire life. Maddie finds herself smiling at Harry's idea, she loves it. It won't happen though, because some girl in the future is bound to fall in love with Harry and his kind heart, and he'll be head over heels for her too. It's inevitable that someone will fall in love with his dimpled smile and caring soul, and even though Maddie already has, she wouldn't dare make a move that could ruin the strongest friendship she's had her entire life. The age of thirty is twelve years away for them, it's too obvious that nothing will come from this harmless bet. "Deal." "Really?" Harry raises his eyebrows, amused at her response. "Really." They shake hands just as the song comes to an end and another one begins. But Harry doesn't let go of Lainey's hand, instead he catches her off guard by spinning her under his arm and dipping her. It started with a kiss and ended with a list. The middle is a bit more complicated. The list of rules is supposed to protect mine and Beck's friendship and stop us from accidentally kissing again. But most of all, it's supposed to protect my heart from getting crushed and keep me from ending up broken like my mom. I've always been great at following rules. But the more time I spend with Beck, the more I can't stop thinking about that kiss and how amazing his lips felt against mine. For the first time in my life, I wish I was a rule breaker. But I can never cross that line. Not with Beck. Not with anyone. Besides, if Beck knew the truth about my life, then the list wouldn't have to exist because he wouldn't have kissed me to begin with. *** Beck: It started with the most amazing kiss ever and led to Willow handing me a list. That stupid list. When she gave it to me, I wanted to shred it to pieces, pull her against me, and kiss her until she realized a piece of paper wasn't going to stop me. Willow's been my best friend since forever and she should know by now that I'm not a follow-the-rules kind of guy. She may think that kiss was a mistake, but she's wrong. Kisses like that can't be a mistake. Willow and I belong together, have since the day I promised to always protect her from the bad stuff in her life. And somehow I'm going to prove it to her. Just like I'll always protect her no matter what.
