Remia Potter is Harry Potter's older sister. She was two years old when Voldemort murdered her parents in front of her and then turned on her little brother. No one knows how the two children survived. Most don't know that Remia survived.
Remia was sent to live with her godfather, Remus Lupin, while her brother was sent to their Muggle Aunt and Uncle. Albus Dumbledore forbade her from ever searching for her brother, claiming that she would see him when the time was right.
Under Dumbledore's orders, Remia spent her first year at Beauxbatons Academy of Magic in France, under her mother's maiden name, Remia Evans.
However, Harry is due to start his first year at Hogwarts and Remia refuses to let him journey alone.

Emily wanted Harry taken in to her care once she was of age, but Dumbledore would not allow it. He believed Harry was safe with the Dursley family. So, Emily left to Romania with Charlie, but not for the same reason as Charlie. While Emily lived in Romania with Charlie, she did not follow the same career path. Charlie worked with dragons, and Emily decided to be a babysitter for wizards and witches. The money was great, which made her wonder why Dumbledore believed she was incompetent of raising Harry.
