Great Palmaecon

The sleepy village of Mantanti was a roadside settlement, and relied heavily upon the traffic of those traveling through the lands to sustain the economy. But the last few years have not been kind.
Especially sense a large beast, a Palmaecon, has chosen their area of the swamp for it's territory. Making it difficult to trek through the already treacherous swamp.
So, in a desperate act, they choose one of their own, a young virgin, to go as tribute to the beast. As it had been done many years ago.
Which is where we meet the hero of our tale, sixteen year old Zoluer Mansketur.
