Eddie Kaspbrak has always thought why he looks at boys differently than girls. Or when his friend, Beverly Marsh, puts makeup on why he has the urge to try it. Or even why he wants to kiss his best friend since second grade, Richie Tozier. He couldn't be gay, could he?

Eddie Kaspbrak is the banker's son who can't keep his eyes off of Richie, looking through the window of the bank. When they meet, Eddie refuses to give Richie his name until he "earns it."
