Past... Long ago in the land of Pokémon a great battle was waged between Espeon and Umbreon. The battle was long and bloody lasting thousands of years. Both sides had a significant amount of casualties, and there was no clear winner until a peace treaty was created to end the fighting. A border was created and Espeon and Umbreon were separated forever.
Present... Luna is an Espeon that lives a normal life until an opportunity of a lifetime sends Luna into Umbreon territory. She meets an Umbreon there named Sol and soon feelings start to develop, but meanwhile a sinister Pokémon threatens Luna's safety and place in her new home.
Future... The tension runs high between Espeon and Umbreon. The two sides are on the brink of another bloody war, and one side may be obliterated forever./ under reconstruction please ignore random time skips and seemingly random junk hopefully it will be finished soon.

It was around 150 years ago, when a war broke out among the 8 Eeveelution kingdoms. It was started by the Jolteon kingdom, as a war between themselves and the Vaporeon kingdom. The other kingdoms, excluding the Umbreon kingdom, joined sides with the Vaporeons, and nearly wiped out the Jolteon species completely. The Espeons mined out most, if not all of the thunder stones nearby, and hid them away. That was 150 years ago now. Jolteons are an incredibly rare sight these days. The other Eevees and Eeveelutions have been taught over the years that Jolteons are evil and soulless, and that evolving into one will change your mind for the worse, as well as being a sin against Arceus. Now, about 6 years ago, a couple exploring an old mine discovered one of the very few remaining thunder stones. They brought it home with them, but not without being spotted. Just a week later, they were forced to run away to protect their son from being discovered. They left both him, and the thunder stone behind. Now, 6 years later, there's a certain shiny Jolteon who's about to go on a journey. What may happen along the way? (This is the rewrite of Inside and Out. Some parts may be reused from the original.) Echo Cereus, an Umbreon with a case of selective mutism, is shipped off to the Kalos Kingdom with his estranged brother, Tanuki Cereus, a Flareon with a chronic case of clumsiness. Objective? Study the artifact known as the Evolutionite under the tutelage of the kingdom's rulers. For the socially adverse Echo, the situation looked bleak. Things only go from bleak to dire as he is sent to a small town and has to interact with Pokémon he isn't too fond of. However, things are never what they seem. There is more to Kalos than what meets the eye. Beneath the pristine surface of the region and the kingdom lie various concerns bubbling to the surface. Discrimination, harmful stereotypes, and dangerous Pokémon become quite noticeable over time.
