Redefined every time someone new uses it, and sometimes in a more vile and lascivious way. Love was never on the table. Completely erased from his vocabulary after his mother died an unforgiving death. However, sometimes the feeling can emerge from even the darkest places in the world. Twisted and depraved. Behind the closed doors of a kidnapper's home. Or from the void that swirls in the chest of someone's missing heart. Even between the forbidden love of an angel and a demon. Love can come in all forms, in all contexts, and can form from even the smallest smidge of scorching hate. There is never light without darkness. There is never yin without yang. There are never days without nights. There is never love without hate. There is never life without death. Even villains and demons can fall in love with heroes and angels. His salvation comes from her, and her destruction comes from him. Like clockwork, they are a match made in the universe; polar opposites, but the attraction is never stronger.

By the title of this story, you can see it's a love story. Where a man met a woman and they fell in love. When they met, he couldn't understand why he felt this a way. A different way he has never felt before. He needed to find out. He needed to understand. Yes, Stockholm syndrome is real. Where the victim falls in love with their kidnapper. But is that necessarily a bad thing? When you understand every bit of them and see their true selves that they don't show others. When you see, just how broken they are as you. When they're not toxic but... good for you. Is it truly that bad? Of course with every love, there are trials and hardships. There are even people who are jealous of that love and want to steal it for themselves. But you can't steal love.
