[COMPLETED] Indigo always had problems, but when her father committed murder-suicide against her mother, she had trouble keeping those problems under control. She had a fear of the world. Everyday actions were feats for her; going to high school, socializing, even falling asleep at night. Of course, her greedy aunt was no help. She felt hopeless. Until she met Nate. Nate had problems of his own. All his life he's had trouble staying focused. He wanted to believe he was normal, but it's hard to think that when you're brilliant in class and... not so brilliant on paper. He didn't want to have A.D.H.D. He tried to pretend he didn't, but there was something rooted deep inside him, telling him he wasn't good enough. He felt useless. Until he met Indigo. When Nate met Indigo, all he wanted to do was help, but could she reveal her secrets to him? Could two wrongs make a right? Quickly, Indigo and Nate developed a relationship that neither thought was possible for themselves to have. Could Nate help Indigo move on from her past and defeat her demons? Could Indigo help Nate accept himself for who he was and hopefully help him pass English? Originally a NaNoWriMo novel, The Way the World Ends revolves around two teens just trying to survive high school and hopefully understand themselves and the words of T.S. Eliot. *** warning: some sexual content, brief violence, language, and sensitive topics. Has Earned Top Ten Spots in: Shifter, Romance stories, Fated Mates, supernatural romance, spicy, wattpadwerewolf, and complicated relationships #1 in Alpha 11/02/24 WEEKLY UPDATES Advisory: recommended 18+ for strong language and sexual content Excerpt: Finally... he released my legs, allowing me to slide down his body till my feet hit the floor, but that is as far as he let me go. Heat was radiating from him, and it scorched me all the way down my spine. His breaths were falling on the back of my neck with a tingling warmth that brought goosebumps to the surface of my skin. He placed one large hand on my shoulder and wrapped my long brown hair around his other. Gently, he tugged on my dark mane, pulling my head to the side exposing my neck. Bringing his face down to the crook there, he inhaled deeply. A rumbling "mmmm," escaped him. My mouth went dry. "Are -are you going to mark me?" I manage in a stuttered whisper. Book Blurb: (albeit not a great one, the worst part of writing a story, in my opinion...) Dr. Willa Grey has developed a little bit of a performance problem... Willa has a plan for how she wants to spend her life. She even fought for a rare opportunity to attend human medical school. Unfortunately for Willa, the time among humans denying her wolf instincts has had dire consequences that could ultimately mean her life. Even worse, her homecoming falls on the eve of the Blue Moon Summit, when she will not only have to face her pack leaders but also some of the most powerful leaders from around the world, and she is terrified they could sniff out the truth. Just as she fears she could possibly lose her pack, and everything she has worked for, a chance encounter with a mysterious wolf on the night of the full moon ignites her mate bond and stirs her dormant wolf. Who is her mystery mate, and will he be her liberator or persecutor? Currently in the First Draft Copyright 2024 Alara Birch, all rights reserved.

Will & Indie

21 parts Complete

William Whitlock, an aspiring poet and hopeless romantic, believes that running into star-strikingly beautiful Indie Argyle in Redding's Bookstore was no accident. Will chases after the girl of his dreams until he can finally call her his own; however, between his complicated home life and Indie's own secrecy, the pair of young lovers realize that maybe love isn't all sunshine and roses. Will their love withstand the tests of time, grief, and life, or is their poem one not meant to be shared? ... Note: This is the first draft of this story, and it's one I'd like to rewrite in the near future. :)
