But Merlin's not the only one with a secret. And maybe destinies aren't always as they seem. AU where I use elements of all five seasons in a way that does not always comply with canon. I got the inspiration for this story from a similar oneshot on Fanfiction.net by Aeon The Dimensional Girl if the user wishes for me to take this one down I will, however I will point out that I expanded on the concept and definitely made it my own. Originally gonna be a one shot, but ended up being too long for a one shot. Merlin returns to Camelot after Arthur dies and gets banished by Gwen. He goes to sit by the lake of Avalon to wait for Arthur. Eventually Arthur returns. Merlin is not immortal in this version, however he is still extremely powerful. This is about their life together. Warnings: malexmale relationship, some language might be considered crude, mentions of m-preg. Mentions of thoughts of suicide.Complete

I don't ship Arthur and Gwenivere, so in most one shots, they never married. Most will probably be Pinterest inspired. Some ideas are taken from other books I've read and turned into my own.
