At the age of sixteen, Delphinium 'Del' Kyanite Gallagher was expected to have his first shift and present his rank in the Sapphire Maw Pack. When that didn't happen, everything went to shit. From being subtly ignored to straight up beatings from his parents along with most of the pack.

Going into his third year after his sixteenth birthday and still not able to shift. Only for the scent of his mate to suddenly cling to the air. Thinking that he didn't have a wolf he was conflicted between feeling happy that he found his mate and the faint hope he had that he could still possibly have his first shift with the confusion on why he couldn't shift.
