In the kingdom of Trin Isle those born without the tell-tale sign of magic, a black band on their upper arm, are seen as lesser then those born with it. But these nonmagics are not ones to take it sitting down, so they rise up to rebel.

Humanity have driven to the brink of extinction by a group of creatures known as the horde. This devilish army led by 5 beings known as corrupted deities or ghosts have destroyed humanity and their last hope is to hide themselves in cities barricaded by gates.

These are the last days of the Old Empire and magic is fading from the world. In the ruined city of Eldernost, disgraced knights, desperate scavengers, cunning merchants, hedge wizards and alchemists, dangerous opportunists and daring adventurers all seek the precious traces of remnant magic that promise wealth and immortality. But deep in the vast forest expanse of the Greenwell, the savage, blood-drinking wights watch the invaders with ravenous eyes and plot to defend their homeland. Across the known world, nations clash and kingdoms are shattered as great powers struggle for control of the last reserves of fading magic on which empires and noble dynasties were built.

In a world where humanity has achieved utopia through advanced technology and AI, a hidden flaw threatens to unravel everything. An unlikely group of misfits discovers that their perfect society is built on the suppression of individual dreams. As they delve deeper, they must choose between the comfort of illusion and the perilous pursuit of true freedom.
