I blinked.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

I pinched myself and rubbed at the skin,I wasn't dreaming and my eyes weren't deceiving me.
With a head of inky black hair and features that seemed like they were carved from marble was a man.
My eyes slowly descended, taking in his unconscious form. From broad shoulders that slowly tapered to slim hips,it was what lay below that scratched out the term "man".
Stretched out on the grains of white gold was a tail, fish tail to be precise.
The scales that adorned it,shimmered an aquamarine that would have several kings of art tear out their hair in failure to reproduce it on canvas.
My observations were cut short and my breath hitched when he opened his eyes.

My heart stuttered.

His eyes.

Could your deep fear of water be cured by the power of love and unearthly sinful sex? Monica Eulice's fear is common, half the world fears the deep dark depths of the ocean. Not so much the ocean itself but rather what lurks within. Invincible to the eye but it watches you. As a child she has always been drawn to nature, that soon took a turn. without warning that same day, an angry storm suddenly approached, untamed and strong the ocean follows seconds later burying the once known horizon under ten feet of murky waters. Months after the disaster the water suddenly trails back to sea bringing along hundredths of corpses. Few left on the beaches with stomachs ripped out and chewed, some without a torso most without arms. What could have happened? One day strolling around with her nanny, Monica sensed something amiss. A dreadful feeling creeping up onto her from behind, eyes following her tiny form, yet there seems to be no one around. Mindful of the creeping danger she lunged too high up on a rock slipping when the heel of her feet couldn't latch on. Seconds away from crashing her skull onto rocks when she felt her body being levitated. Peeling her eyes open, the water somehow caught her in the air, water can't do that. At least not on its own, all she was able to see was the whip of a tail. Little did she know that tail would lead to something she wasn't prepared for, a friendship she never asked for, and a delicious man she didn't expect with craving she isn't ready for. Though she is a vegetarian, she just couldn't resist his meat.

[COMPLETED] She was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen. She was ethereal and mystical and utterly impossible. Her mere existence challenged everything that he knew about the world. His mind screamed that she couldn't be real, yet here she was. When seventeen-year-old Liam Bainbridge sees something wrapped in a fishing net on a sandbar, his first thought is that some poor creature had been caught up by a fishing boat. Feeling the need to help, he jumps into action. It isn't until he releases it that he sees that everything isn't always as it appears. The fin doesn't belong to a dolphin or a seal, but a strangely beautiful girl and she's badly injured. Liam is soon pulled into an incredible mythical world he never imagined was real.
