In the beginning... you've heard the story, but what came before? What were the events leading up to the fall of Lucifer, The Lightbringer? What really happened to make one so full of Light fall to darkness? Lucifer is a young angel in a world that centers around him, his three older brothers, their somewhat distant Father, and their slightly terrifying aunt. It's perfect, too perfect, and boring, but it's all Lucifer knows. The young angel just wants something new; he wants adventure. But one must be careful what they wish for. The young angel's aunt is hiding something, a secret that can tear apart everything Lucifer knows. With war on the horizon, and darkness descending to consume the light, Lucifer and his siblings must band together, for only together can they withstand the coming storm. But Lucifer was always a curious child and begins to ask, is the world really as black and white as his Father wants him to believe?

The walls between heaven, hell, and earth no longer exist. There are no more rules, and humans are becoming extinct. Only the strong and the clever will survive. The fate of the world rests on their shoulders. Jacob is missing after sending off his last true tie to earth; into the hands of the devil. Lucifer is fighting for control over a land he despises. The crew is hiding out in faery just trying to survive. Can Jacob save the day? Does he even want to? In this last installment of Jacob's broken mercenaries. All the answers will come to fruition. In a world where you're either the hero or the villain. Lucifer lies heavily in the latter category, but to Tally (behind his wall of indifference), he's just normal. Maybe a little selfish. She desires him and understands him like no other. Does that make her evil, too? How will this story end? There's so many questions, and only two possible outcomes are definite. The end or a new beginning.
