Simula pag-kabata, naranasan na ni Eureka ang hindi pantay na trato ng mundo sa kanya. Labing-anim na taon siya noon ng namatay ang kanyang ina, ang kanyang ina na isa sa mga taong nag-mamahal sa kanya. Simula noon mas naging komplikado ang lahat.
Naranasan niya na ang deskriminasyon sa loob ng paaralan nila kahit sa sarili niyang kadugo. Binabasi ng mga tao sa kanya ang mga salitang walang katotohanan galing sa bibig ng iba. Itinuring siya ng mga tao na parang isang salot sa lipunan.
"Bayaran ang Ina niyan! Baka bayaran din yan."
"Eh ang pangit niyan eh!"
Mga salitang kadalasang lumalabas sa bibig nila. Mga salitang di man lang nila pinag-isipan.
Pero sa kabila ng lahat ay tinitingnan parin ni Eureka ang mga positibong bagay. Ginawa niya ang mga masasakit na salita bilang isang pundasyon para makamit ang mga pangarap niya.
Ngunit makakamit pa kaya niya ito kung sa pagpasok niya sa kolehiyo ay sinira ng mga tao ang buhay niya?
"Hindi paba sapat?" Naluluhang sambit niya.

You will find out soon enough." His words sounded dangerously close to a promise, sending a shiver down my spine as he once again sat down in the chair next to where I was standing. " Have a good day sir." I hurried out of the Conference room once I had everything. Ignorance is bliss, until it is not. She knows of it. He knows of it. He accepts it, she does not. They are not opposites but they are in no way similar either. But the real question is, will she acknowledge it?
