Xiang Xiu Ying, daughter of General Xiang, was a woman of extraordinary lineage and even more extraordinary spirit. Her father, renowned throughout Liang State for his bravery and military achievements, had instilled in her a love for strategy and a thirst for adventure. She was also the twin sister of Xiang Fen Jie, a woman who had recently returned home a hero, having distinguished herself in battle and earned the admiration of the entire kingdom.

Xiu Ying, however, had not been raised in the gilded cage of privilege that was expected of a general's daughter. At the tender age of ten, she was exiled from her family, sent to live in an isolated village, far from the grandeur of the capital. This exile, however, proved to be a turning point in her life. It was in that isolated village, surrounded by nature and hardship, that she discovered her true destiny.

She blossomed in the harsh environment, her spirit unyielding, her mind sharp, her heart filled with a determination that belied her youth. The isolation forged her into a woman of strength and resilience, a woman who would one day rise above her past and claim her rightful place in the world.

General Wei Yu Yan's life was a tapestry woven with threads of sacrifice and sorrow. She had dedicated herself to her country, her bravery and skill unmatched on the battlefield. She had faced down countless enemies, her sword a beacon of hope in the darkest of times. Yet, despite her unwavering commitment, she felt a gnawing emptiness within. Her heart ached for a life beyond the battlefield, a life where happiness wasn't a fleeting dream but a tangible reality. She yearned for a life filled with laughter and joy, a life free from the constant burden of pain and worry. But her scarred face, a constant reminder of her past struggles, seemed to be a barrier to the happiness she so desperately craved. The world, it seemed, valued beauty above all else, and her scarred face was a mark of imperfection, a symbol of her unworthiness. She had fought for her country, for her people, but could she ever fight for herself? Could she ever find a place where her scars were not a source of shame but a testament to her strength and resilience? Could she ever find a love that transcended the superficiality of the world, a love that embraced her flaws and celebrated her spirit? The question lingered, a heavy weight on her heart. Would she ever find a life free from pain, a life where she could smile and laugh without the shadow of sorrow clouding her eyes? The answer, for now, remained elusive, a mystery waiting to be unraveled.
