The Illegal Hero: Osomatsu-San

The year is 2025. 8 years ago, the eldest of the Matsuno brothers, Osomatsu, left the family and was never heard from again. Most presumed him dead, but in truth, he lived out his teen years as a common street thug with a power of his own to separate himself.

After returning to his hometown of Akatsuka, he finds many things have changed: his brothers now all lead their own lives as righteous vigilantes, and they have come face to face with a corrupt and anarchist organization hidden from the public. However, beating them is easier said than done.

A family that is fractured cannot he repaired so easily. But they must put their differences aside to ward off what comes ahead... for what's coming is larger than anyone can anticipate.

This is an AU series of the 2015 anime "Osomatsu-San", which itself is a spinoff of the Showa-era manga/anime series "Osomatsu-kun".

Tonal elements have been taken from world-renowned series such as My Hero Academia, Persona, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Naruto, and various little others. It may not sound like much at first, but this is an ambitious project nearly a year in the making.

The format of this story is unchanging: 117 chapters split into 6 parts. (not equally divided) In addition, much later down the road, we'll be making a 5 chapter prequel story focused on one of the main characters.

This story will include perspective shifts not just between the iconic six Matsuno brothers, but also between the veritable amount of supporting characters as well, all taken from the Osomatsu-San anime. It is a much grittier take on the core series; thankfully, though, we do try to infuse it with heaps of humor to make it a joy. Action and angst aplenty, I personally feel there is something for everybody here.
