"Ellie... don't cry."

"Don't call me that." I said sharply. He sighed but kept staring at me with sad eyes. 

"I'll tell you where we're going if you stop crying." I wiped my eyes furiously and waited for him to continue. It took him a mere five seconds to take the hint and explained, "I don't know if you'll believe me or not but well, here goes nothing. You are a mate to one of the princes of the royal kingdom. The vampire kingdom to be exact, I've had the opportunity to actually pick you up and take you there... to the kingdom." 

"Hold on a damn minute... who the hell is this prince dude?" 

"Uh.. that would be me." He said turning a faint color of red... so, I'm a mate to a vampire? And when the hell was I going to be informed about this? And why in the world does it have to be me?
